Webinar Replay:
Leading Inclusion, Equity, and Diversity Through COVID-19 and Beyond

Posted On April 22, 2020

In this facilitated conversation, Reginald J. Miller and Heather McKendry exchange ideas, insights, and best practices for leading with your values to create and sustain inclusive, equitable, and diverse workplaces.

In this webinar, part of the Camber Outdoors “COVID-19 and Beyond” series, we hear from Heather McKendry (Director of Organizational Development, Ruffwear) and Reginald J. Miller (Vice President, Global Inclusion and Diversity, VF Corporation). Both offer valuable insights on how to create and sustain inclusive, equitable, and diverse workplaces through the challenges of COVID-19 and beyond, once we enter the “next normal.” Learnings discussed in this webinar:

1. There are ways to foster an inclusive culture during this time, including honoring cultural celebrations, having 1:1 check-ins, and leaders “walking around,” or having a presence in various virtual group meetings.

2. There are some silver linings in this crisis. Examples include opportunities for greater cross-functional collaboration and the ability to imagine inclusive, equitable, and diverse workplace in new and different ways.

3. Any return-to-work strategy should consider multiple sources of readiness assessment and an organic approach involving input from employees.

This webinar was full of timely questions and insightful answers, which we’ve collected in this document:
